Hi, my name’s Danny. I’m a former Commando who cycled the full length of Japan carrying the ashes of three of my own family members — a journey I made to honour them and raise money for the Royal Marines Charity.

That experience changed my life. For the first time, I felt I’d truly honoured them in a way that was unforgettable — not just for me, but for them too. It wasn’t a funeral. It was a final journey.

After I shared what I’d done, something unexpected happened — people started reaching out. They told me they wished they could do something similar for their loved ones. That’s when I realised: I could help.

So I created Beyond Horizons — a personal ash scattering service for families who want something more than tradition. A way to say goodbye that’s peaceful, meaningful, and deeply human.
